While in graduate school, Banks completed her medical externship at Madonna Rehabilitation Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Prior to her start at MMI, Banks worked for the Papillion-La Vista School District, CHI Health Immanuel Hospital in Omaha and Pediatric Therapy Center in Papillion, Nebraska. Her clinical interests include augmentative and alternative communication, cognitive intervention following traumatic brain injury, language intervention following stroke, dysphagia management, as well as communication in tracheostomized/ventilator dependent patients.
