Professional Bio

Giron came to MMI over 20 years ago and has worked in many different clinical capacities, including Adapted Therapy Specialist, Volunteer Coordinator and Assistant Director for the department. Serving families and participants, working with the multitudes of student volunteers and staff and delivering high quality programming has been the absolute greatest joy of her career.

Throughout her clinical time, she has not only worked every single program but, has been able work with an inspiring team of staff and advocates as well as the supporting foundations and boards to fill the gaps in RT service delivery She helped create several new programming opportunities for our participants including art, gardening and cooking classes and is currently enrolled in the MSIA PhD program at UNMC with a research focus on family health and wellness.
