Professional Bio

Lydiatt joined the Munroe-Meyer Institute’s recreational therapy team in fall of 2019. She was excited to join to the Munroe-Meyer family full-time in this role, as it was her experiences as a technician in the recreational therapy programs from 2015-2019 that inspired her to enter the field. Lydiatt is passionate about improving the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through recreation and leisure. Lydiatt administrates the Art Excellence program, an art program for adults with IDD who seek to develop art skills, build relationships and improve quality of life. Lydiatt is also passionate about the pediatric population that MMI serves, especially children with medical fragilities. Her undergraduate background in speech-language pathology gives her insight into communication differences and allows her to improve participants’ functional communication in the context of recreation and leisure activities.

Lydiatt provides services and programming in the Recreational Therapy Department at Munroe-Meyer Institute.
