Professional Bio

Capoun has over 20 years of pediatric experience working with children from birth to age 21 in a variety of pediatric settings including a rehabilitation facility, schools, outpatient and early intervention. She has certification in Neurodevelopmental Treatment and is trained in the perception-action approach. 

She has participated in section on pediatrics grant-funded research and has been a guest contributor to the pediatric physical therapy journal “Clinical Bottom Line".  She also guest lectures and assists with labs in the UNMC Physical Therapy Pediatrics course with content expertise in normal motor development, early intervention and spina bifida. Capoun enjoys the variety of opportunities for clinical service, teaching and research that come with employment at the Munroe-Meyer Institute. She loves the privilege of helping children learn to move in new ways and helping their families be more confident in their care.
