Professional Bio
Lawrence is an Omaha native and a graduate of Omaha Public Schools. Her career work experience consists of time in Outpatient Orthopedics, Inpatient Neurological Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine, Early Intervention Pediatrics and School-based Pediatrics. Lawrence initially joined MMI in August 2010 to provide school-based physical therapy in the Bellevue Public Schools. After a military-sponsored relocation, she returned to MMI in August 2021 to work with students in Omaha Public Schools.
Lawrence is particularly passionate about inclusive sports programs as well as adaptive technology and positioning for individuals with disabilities. She has volunteered for FunFitness/Health Athletes, a program that addresses the ongoing health needs of Special Olympics athletes and Go Baby Go, a community-based outreach program that provides modified, ride-on cars to young children with limited mobility so they can move around independently.
Lawrence provides patient care services for the Department of Physical Therapy at Munroe-Meyer Institute in a school-based setting.
