Whitney Strong-Bak, PhD

Whitney Strong-Bak, PhD, is an assistant professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center's Munroe-Meyer Institute and a licensed psychologist in MMI's Department of Psychology. She received her doctorate in school psychology from University of Nebraska-Lincoln and completed her internship and post-doctoral training at the Munroe-Meyer Institute. Strong-Bak is a member of the interdisciplinary team at the Developmental Pediatrics Clinic located at Children’s Nebraska, where she works closely with developmental pediatricians, nurses, pediatric nurse practitioners and social workers to diagnose and treat patients with a variety of developmental concerns (e.g., autism, intellectual disability, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, developmental delay, congenital heart defects, premature birth).

Strong-Bak is a co-instructor in the genetic counseling program, where she trains master's-level students in interviewing and brief counseling approaches, and provides training in developmental monitoring and screening to medical residents at UNMC. Additionally, Strong-Bak provides clinical supervision to MMI post-doctoral fellows, interns, doctoral and masters level students.
