Nancy L. Foster, PhD

Foster completed a predoctoral internship at Boys Town in Omaha, Nebraska and a postdoctoral fellowship with MMI before joining MMI faculty. Foster provides outpatient clinical services to children and their families in a pediatric primary care clinic in Kearney. Foster also provides psychology services to children seen in the Medically Handicapped Children's Program Genetics, Specialty and Craniofacial Clinics in North Platte and Kearney. Foster coordinates the Rural Integrated Care (RIC) training program for predoctoral interns and actively supervises predoctoral interns, postdoctoral fellows and UNMC nursing students. Foster has also served as the Co-Director of Building Healthy Families which is a multidisciplinary, empirically supported healthy lifestyle program for children and their families. It has expanded from a local program to one that is available nationwide for communities via the Centers for Disease Control website.
