Professional Bio
Stephens has worked in the area of pediatric school based occupational therapy for 33 years. Stephens has worked in a residential and school-based facility in South Dakota and has been with the Munroe-Meyer Institute since 2002 serving students in the Omaha Public Schools ages 3-21. Her particular area of interest is assisting students with the transition to adulthood, helping them become independent and successful adults. She is coordinator of transition for the MMI Occupational Therapy Department and serves as the MMI representative on the Regional Postsecondary Transition Team. Stephens received her Specialty Certification in School Systems in 2016. She also serves as a clinical instructor for occupational therapy students as well as a mentor for our Occupational Therapy Fellowship Program.
Stephens provides patient care services for the Department of Occupational Therapy at Munroe-Meyer Institute in a school-based setting.
