Distefano joined the Department of Occupational Therapy at UNMC’s Munroe-Meyer Institute in October of 2022. Distefano has over 4 years of experience working as a pediatric outpatient occupational therapist. Over her career, Distefano has focused on pediatric feeding, sensory processing and aquatic therapy with a variety of disabilities. Distefano is passionate about empowering individuals with disabilities and their families. In her current role, Distefano provides school-based therapy for students within the Omaha Public Schools.
