Prior to receiving her graduate degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center genetic counseling program class of 2022, Cox attended Hope College in Holland, Michigan, and received her bachelor's degree in biology.
Since beginning her career, she has grown her passion for educating patients, other health care professionals and students about the utility of genetic testing in the prenatal field. In her current role, Cox specializes in prenatal care and serves as a clinical supervisor and guest lecturer for current genetic counseling students at UNMC where she enjoys opportunities to give back to the program that provided the foundation for her professional career. In her free time, Cox enjoys traveling to visit friends and family, reading fiction novels and attending a variety of sporting events.
