Professional Bio

Arroyo Kotinek is a first-generation college graduate. During her undergraduate degree, she studied abroad in Granada, Spain, to complete her Spanish secondary education endorsement from the College of Saint Mary in Omaha. After working and graduating with her master’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Arroyo Kotinek worked as a home visitor for the Learning Community Center of South Omaha. During her time there, she assisted Spanish-speaking families by connecting them to community resources and providing parents with early childhood best practice education to help children succeed in school. Arroyo Kotinek also became a middle school teacher for Omaha Public Schools during the COVID-19 pandemic from 2020-2022 before leaving to work for MMI in the fall of 2022.

As a Bilingual Child Development Program Evaluator, Arroyo Kotinek is excited to bring her early childhood knowledge and bilingual skill set to MMI. From her previous job experience, she has become passionate about the importance of testing toddlers and preschoolers to better meet their needs as they begin their educational journey. Arroyo Kotinek’s lifelong passion is to serve the community and the education and well-being of all children.
