Nick Yeutter, MD
Ambulatory Chief Resident
Dr. Nick Yeutter is the Ambulatory Chief Resident of the UNMC Internal Medicine Residency Program.
He grew up in Omaha, NE before attending the University of Richmond, where he double majored in chemistry and music composition. After graduating, he left Virginia for New York City where he completed his Masters in Music Composition for Film, TV, and Multimedia at NYU Steinhardt. He scored several TV pilots and short films during (and after) his time in New York.
His unconventional medical journey later returned him to Omaha, where he attended UNMC for both medical school and internal medicine residency. He developed a love for the broad range of symptoms and syndromes that can walk into the hospital or clinic. “UNMC gives you a rigorous and comprehensive training, but also fosters a supportive environment with genuine camaraderie among colleagues. These are both essential for any medical career, and I’m grateful UNMC prepared me for independent practice.” Dr. Yeutter also has a passion for medical education and completed the Health Educator and Academic Leadership (HEAL) track during residency. After chief year, he plans to pursue a career in general internal medicine with an emphasis in resident education.
Outside of work, Dr. Yeutter enjoys spending time with his family, composing music, performing with the Nebraska Medical Orchestra, playing tennis, building LEGO, and watching reality TV with his co-residents.
