Remy Sass, MD

Dr. Remy Sass is chief resident of the UNMC Internal Medicine Residency Program.  

Remy grew up outside of Waverly, NE on an acreage and is a country girl at heart. Throughout her childhood and continuing into adulthood, she was (and still is!) an avid and competitive equestrian. Her training and competitions took her all across North America, where she developed many lifelong skills and friendships.

She attended UNL for undergrad, which allowed her to continue her training, and majored in Biology with additional focuses on business, Spanish, and Chemistry. Originally, she wanted to pursue veterinary medicine, but found that she was drawn to the humanistic aspects of human medicine which ultimately led her to UNMC for medical school. 

During medical school, she fell in love with the patient and team relationships that she developed, as well as the variety and diagnostic reasoning of internal medicine. She was ecstatic to stay at UNMC for Internal Medicine Residency, as well as in the UNMC chief role.

Following this year, Dr. Sass plans to stay in general IM in both an outpatient and inpatient provider role. Outside of work, Remy continues to train and compete in dressage, and loves to spend time outside with friends, family, and a good book or two!
