Brett Begley, MD
VA Chief Resident
Dr. Brett Begley is the VA chief resident of the UNMC Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Brett grew up in Omaha, NE, and graduated from Millard North High School. He attended undergraduate school at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he majored in Chemistry. He then returned to Omaha for medical school and residency at UNMC as part of the Primary Care Residency Program.
Brett was thrilled to complete his residency at UNMC. “I had a tremendous experience developing as a clinician and as an educator at UNMC, particularly in primary care. I am honored to help educate the residents and students, both at the VA and at Midtown Clinic, over the next year as a chief resident.”
After chief year, he will work as a traditional general internist in Omaha. In their free time, Brett and his wife, Erin, enjoy running, playing with their two dogs, and spending time with family and friends.
