Diversity Resources for Residents
Diversity Resources for Residents
The Internal Medicine Residency Program supports ongoing efforts in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion within our residency family, patients, institution and community. Our commitment to supporting and fostering a diverse and inclusive environment within our program means we respect and celebrate the things that make us different - our ethnic background, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious or culture beliefs, the color of our skin, disabilities or nation of origin. Campus-wide resources as well as those specific to our program and department are listed below.
- JEDI with Jasmine is a monthly noon conference series that focuses on building trust through inclusive spaces to discuss principles of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in health care for internal medicine residents and faculty.
- Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity at UNMC
- UNMC McGoogan Library
- Growth-Edge podcast episode where Dr. Marcelin was interviewed about Unconscious Bias and Being and Upstander
- Request for ADA and Religious Accommodations
- A section of our department newsletter is dedicated to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
