I2MPrOVE Curriculum
I2MPrOVE (Internists Investigating Medical Processes, Outcomes, Value, and Error) aligns ACGME competencies and milestones with Nebraska Medicine goals and priorities in the areas of Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, and High-Value Care. I2MPrOVE is a longitudinal curriculum for Internal Medicine and Medicine-Pediatrics house officers that intends to:
1) Provide house officers with the skills they need to be stewards of high quality, safe, high value, and patient-centered care;
2) Foster a culture of safety and quality; and
3) Cultivate future leaders in healthcare quality and systems innovations.
Education consists of online IHI modules, interactive didactic lectures, case-based discussions, small group activities, and individual & group projects spanning multiple sites, ie UNMC, Omaha VAMC (Veterans Affairs Medical Center), and Midtown Clinic.
