Dr. Bhavina Sharma is an assistant professor in the Division of Oncology and Hematology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She received her Doctor of Medicine in 2013 from Odessa State Medical University, Odessa Oblast, Ukraine. Dr. Sharma worked as a student researcher at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology. She then served her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore from 2014 to 2017. Dr. Sharma completed her medical oncology and hematology fellowship from 2017 to 2021 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, where she also served her preventative medicine residency from 2019 to 2021.
Currently, Dr. Sharma is actively engaged in medical practice, teaching, and clinical research and specializes in the care of patients with lung, melanoma, Merkel cell, thoracic, and advanced non-melanoma skin cancer at UNMC and Bellevue Medical Cancer Clinic.
