Dr. Mackenzie Keintz joined the HIV/Infectious Diseases Division in July 2023. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Associate Medical Director of the Nebraska Medicine Antimicrobial Stewardship Program.
She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Medical Microbiology and Immunology, and she received her medical degree from St. George's University. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Diseases Fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Her clinical interests include the management of infectious diseases in immunocompetent hosts and treatment and prevention of HIV. Her research interests include the appropriate use of antimicrobials in the ambulatory care setting and innovative medical education modalities.
