Jana Wardian, PhD, MSW

Assistant Professor, Division of Hospital Medicine

wardian

Dr. Wardian is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and an Associate Director for the Interprofessional Academy of Educators (IAE). She works with Hospital Medicine and IAE members to increase scholarship in the form of grants, presentations, and manuscripts.

Research

Dr. Wardian’s research interest remains broad and is captured as, “Reducing the work of being a patient.” This is a common thread through her manuscripts as she seeks to better understand and improve the patient experience and has expanded to educating health professions students about the social determinants of health (SDH) as related to improved patient outcomes.
