Tabatha Matthias, DO, MBA, FACP
Assistant Professor, Division of Hospital Medicine
Dr. Matthias is a board-certified internal medicine physician, assistant professor, and academic hospitalist at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She graduated medical school from Kansas City University and simultaneously obtained an MBA degree at Rockhurst University. She served in the United States Army and completed her internal medicine residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
As a hospitalist, she has enjoyed teaching residents and medical students by creating and directing educational programs in acute illness simulation and point of care ultrasound (POCUS). She received the William Osler Teaching Award in 2016 for this educational work. She is now leading the clinical operations of the UNMC hospital medicine service, an ever-changing and growing 24/7 inpatient service, where she serves as the Associate Division Chief of Clinical Operations.
