Dr. Priscila Rodrigues Armijo

Dr. Rodrigues Armijo is a physician-scientist dedicated to transforming health professions training to improve care for underrepresented patients, particularly those with limited English proficiency. She is an Assistant Professor in the UNMC Department of Internal Medicine and is currently pursuing her PhD in Health Practice and Medical Education Research.

With more than 40 peer-reviewed articles on healthcare training, assessment, simulation and patient-centered outcomes, Dr. Rodrigues Armijo is nationally recognized for her work. She collaborates with national and international organizations on initiatives that address healthcare disparities through education, preparing faculty to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.

With her unique clinical and research background and commitment to a culture of belonging, Dr. Rodrigues Armijo serves as a bridge across the different arms of the academic mission, positioning her as a leader to advance healthcare excellence and promoting equitable outcomes within a collaborative culture.
