Joseph Dougherty, MD

Dr. Joseph Dougherty was born and raised in Lincoln, NE and completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. I completed my Internal Medicine residency training at UNMC which included an additional year as Chief Resident for the IM residency program at the Omaha VA Medical Center.
Dr. Dougherty is a hybrid general internist and spend half of his time in primary care clinic and the other half as a hospitalist. Areas of interest include medical student and resident education and POCUS. In his free time, he enjoys watching football, golfing, traveling, grilling/cooking, and spending time with his family and friends.
