Gastroenterology and Hepatology
We offer both clinical and research training opportunities to students, residents, and fellows, including providing patient care for a range of digestive and hepato-pancreato-biliary diseases.
Our experienced faculty members have expertise in such specialties as hepatitis, cirrhosis, inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatic disease, cancer of the upper and lower GI tract, and motility disorders. Faculty members also support a world-renowned liver and intestinal transplant program through UNMC's primary clinical partner, Nebraska Medicine.
Our faculty are involved in active clinical and basic research programs at both UNMC and the Veterans Administration Nebraska-Iowa Health Care System.
