Jacques Izard, PhD
Dr. Izard has extensive experience in human gut and oral microbiomes as well as their interaction with us. The scientific trajectory of his career has enabled him to investigate postbiotics, bacteria ultrastructure in single cells, and what happens when microbes form biofilms. In addition, he has expertise in how the microbiomes interact with diet, the immune system, and each other. Body site expert for the Human Microbiome Project, he has since been involved in other cohort studies and clinical trials.
As the health status of the population continues to become more complex, Izard's laboratory leverages a multi-disciplinary approach to obtain a greater understanding of our microbiome function. This increased understanding can empower everyone to nurture a supportive microbiome.
