Geriatric Medicine Fellowship
Program faculty members are deeply invested in the success of each fellow and provide exceptional guidance in the clinical, academic, and research aspects of the fellowship in order to meet each individual’s goals.
Fellows provide patient care to a diverse population at various venues including: Nebraska Medicine Clinics, the Omaha VA Medical Center, and community based long term and skilled nursing facilities. The programs primary clinical teaching site is the Nebraska Medicine Geriatrics Clinic, which is a certified Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) that provides a truly interprofessional approach to patient care.
Fellows also receive training to promote leadership skills and academic development through a core curriculum and training experiences. In addition, a designated faculty member and the program coordinator assists each fellow in tailoring experiences based on the fellow’s future career goals.
