Dr. Graeff-Armas is an associate professor in the Internal Medicine Division of Diabetes, Endocrine & Metabolism at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
She completed her training at Creighton University including a fellowship in Diabetes and Endocrinology and a research fellowship supported by the National Institutes of Health. Her master’s degree work focused on the pathophysiology of bone in young adults with T1DM. Her PhD in medical nutrition focused on nutrition in the elderly post-fracture. Her clinical practice revolves around osteoporosis, metabolic bone disease, and secondary fracture prevention. She has a research interest in calcium and Vitamin D and is currently working on an NIH-funded grant in collaboration with Creighton focusing on the effects of T1DM on bone in postmenopausal women.
