Jill A. Poole, MD

Professor
Dr. Poole joined the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2005 as an assistant professor of medicine and was promoted to full professor in 2017. In January 2020 she was named inaugural Division Chief of the Allergy & Immunology Division. She received her medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed her internal medicine residency at Washington University at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Poole completed her allergy and immunology fellowship at National Jewish Medical and Research Center/University of Colorado Health Center in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Poole has built a strong research program that has produced numerous publications in the field of allergic and non-allergic respiratory disorders. The lung disease research she has done aims to improve the health outcomes for many rural residents of the United States.
