Mark Rupp, MD, Internal Medicine Department Interim Chair

Mark Rupp, MD, has been named the interim chair of the UNMC Department of Internal Medicine. “Dr. Rupp has proven to be an extraordinary leader, especially during challenging times,” said UNMC College of Medicine Dean Bradley Britigan, MD. “He is the right choice to lead the department through this transition.”

Our Faculty

More than 300 physicians and scientists comprise the internal medicine faculty. They are experienced clinicians, accomplished researchers, and talented educators. Our faculty is a metropolitan group of well-trained professionals who all understand the need to work as a team to accomplish our overriding goal of enhancing the health of all Nebraskans.

Our Residency and Fellowship Programs

More than 200 residents and fellows annually train in our renowned residency and fellowship programs. Over the last five years, our residency program has achieved a 99% board pass rate for the Internal Medicine Board Exam, and for good reason: The 18-month curriculum provides a strong foundation with well-defined objectives and offers multiple electives within all Internal Medicine divisions.
