ADA, Pregnancy Accommodations for Employees and Applicants
Individuals with mental or physical impairments may request reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act as amended and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 to enable them to perform the essential functions of their jobs, as long as the accommodations do not create undue hardships.
The Pregnant Workers Fairness Act provides reasonable accommodations to an employee’s known limitations related to pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions, unless the accommodation causes an undue hardship.
If you are an employee or applicant and are requesting a medical accommodation pertaining to your employment, please complete the Request for ADA Accommodation form and email it to the UNMC HR Employee Relations Office. Religious Accommodations for Employees and Applicants
