A local pediatrician specialist told MySA that cases of hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) typically spike in the late spring and early summer. While it’s easy to transmit, it’s an illness children commonly bounce back from after 7 to 10 days. It is common in children under 5, but anyone can get it.
