- C-STARS
  C-STARS, the Center for Sustainment of Trauma Readiness Skills- Omaha is a collaboration between UNMC, Nebraska Medicine, and the Air Force Research Laboratory’s School of Aerospace Medicine. C-STARS Omaha works closely with UNMC’s Global Center for Health Security, iEXCEL, and the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit to take advantage of the medical center’s capabilities and expertise in biopreparedness training and research.

Health Security Fellowship

The Health Security Fellowship has core faculty from multiple specialties and a vast array of experiences and training. Their mission is to develop future clinician leaders in health security, grow the science and clinical practice of health emergency preparedness and response, and foster a culture of readiness in health systems and communities. Fellows will train with faculty who have built their expertise through decades of experience.

Biological Defense and Health Security Graduate Program

The Biological Defense and Health Security Graduate Program offers a MS or PhD. Students enrolled in this sub-plan will engage in and learn processes and methodologies affiliated with the fundamental elements and scientific principles needed to develop successfully in the emerging global security areas related to defense against infectious disease.
