Stephanie Zechmann, BS
Operational Readiness Consultation Coordinator
Stephanie joined Nebraska Medicine in 2011. She joined The National Emerging Special Pathogens Training and Education Center (NETEC) in 2017. In her role as a Consultation Coordinator at NETEC, Stephanie plays a pivotal role in collaborating closely with NETEC, Regional Emerging Special Pathogen Treatment Centers (RESPTC) and other healthcare facilities, including EMS to drive operational readiness related to special pathogens. Stephanie’s role within the Readiness Consultation and Targeted Support Services branch of NETEC encompasses relationship building, outreach, and empowering the healthcare facilities with NETEC resources that aligns with their need. She is integral in ensuring seamless collaboration across NETEC, RESPTC, and other healthcare facilities requesting readiness services from NETEC.
Within her role in NETEC and a member of Global Center for Health Security at UNMC, Stephanie works closely with activity directors, program managers, marketing/outreach coordinators, and principal investigators to drive the strategic vision of the organization, collaborating with national and international colleagues in advancement of planning and preparation to respond to special pathogens events.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from the University of Nebraska--Lincoln.
