Our office leads the university's involvement in the global arena engaging with the world and in the world, coordinating an extraordinary range of training programs for students, scholars, faculty, and staff.

We create and organize clinical rotations, student exchange programs and research opportunities.
For Faculty, Researchers and Clinicians
We provide exceptional training to international faculty, scientists, physicians, nurses and other professionals under the guidance of our outstanding faculty, research scientists and clinical experts here in Omaha. These visitors leave UNMC with the knowledge of what it is like to train in a world-class U.S. health care system.
We partner with universities around the world to offer customized faculty development and training programs, from short, intensive, immersive experiences to longer programs that permit visiting faculty to develop deeper relationships at UNMC. Our education training programs bring doctors and professors from our partner universities and hospitals to UNMC to learn about the U.S. health care education system, as well as teaching theory and practice.

International Observerships
We work with partner universities and hospitals around the world to develop medical clinical observation training programs. These opportunities allow physicians to learn the U.S. medical system and clinical practice at UNMC and its affiliated partners in Omaha. At this time, international observerships are on hold.
No patient contact is allowed during these four- to eight-week programs. Participants also may take a two-week intensive medical English course prior to the clinical training program. Learn about English language programs at the University of Nebraska Omaha.
