About Dr. Dowdall
Jayme R. Dowdall, MD, is a Otolaryngologist specializing in Laryngology and Professional Voice. She has been at UNMC since 2018 and received her AAMCC Certificate in Coaching in 2022. She has personally benefited from participating in coaching from Linda Brodsky, Weight Loss for Doctors Only (WLDO program) and with Dr. Sasha Shillcutt via Brave Enough. Jayme welcomes the opportunity to help others with a coaching mindset here at UNMC.
Dr. Dowdall has experience with research and all levels of medical education including medical students, residents and faculty. She is also a member of IAE with an interest in integrating the humanities in healthcare. She has a special place in her heart for the difficulties one can encounter during residency, particularly in the transition to senior or chief resident. Jayme also has experience mentoring with a focus on career development, work/life efficiency and productivity for nurses, graduate students in the sciences, advance practice nurses, physician assistant, speech-language pathology and respiratory therapy colleagues.
Jayme truly believes in curious listening and providing a safe space for individuals to bring their whole selves to the table. She understands there may be challenges along the way and finds UNMC can be an incredible and supportive environment for individual growth and program development.
