Rao Chundury

Dr. Chundury was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, and raised in Newburgh, Indiana. He completed his undergraduate studies from Northwestern University and medical school and his MBA from Indiana University. Following medical school, he completed ophthalmology residency at St. Louis University where he also served as Chief Resident. After residency, he completed an Oculoplastic and Aesthetic Surgery fellowship from the Cleveland Clinic under the mentorship of Dr. Julian Perry.

In 2019, Dr. Chundury joined the UNMC Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. He also practices with UNMC's primary clinical partner, Nebraska Medicine, at the Truhlsen Eye Institute as one of regions few American Society and Ophthalmic Plastic Reconstructive surgeons. 

Dr. Chundury speaks frequently at regional/national meetings and has published numerous research articles.
