Katie Geelan-Hansen, MD

Katie Geelan-Hansen, MD, is double board certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and otolaryngology-head and neck surgery. Her practice expertise includes rhinoplasty, facial gender affirming surgery, facial trauma, forehead and eyebrow surgery, and facial reconstruction after cancer resections. She is actively involved in research in the field and has published in highly respected journals. In addition to practicing facial plastic and reconstructive surgery she also enjoys educating residents and medical students. She serves as the director of medical student education for the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. She works to advance the field and the next generation of surgeons.

Dr. Geelan-Hansen’s research and professional interests encompass all aspects of aesthetic and reconstructive facial plastic surgery including rhinoplasty, nasal reconstruction, deviated nasal septum surgery, forehead and eyebrow surgeries, blepharoplasty, eyelid surgeries, scar revision, Mohs reconstruction, lip reconstruction and otoplasty.
