Nebraska Medicine - Nebraska Medical Center
Our main training site located 5 minutes from downtown Omaha. Nebraska Medicine is one of the largest emergency departments in the Midwest, with more than 27 state-of-the-art operating rooms, a NICU, radiology unit and main emergency department. The emergency department itself has 46 rooms including four trauma bays and sees Level I traumas 24 hours a day. The bulk of our emergency medicine training and the majority of our rotations take place here in one of the finest academic medical centers in the country.

Nebraska Medicine – Bellevue Medical Center
Located 15 minutes south of the main campus, the Bellevue Medical Center is a community health care facility with the third busiest emergency room in the metro area. The hospital houses 91 inpatient beds and more than 250 specialists on staff who provide expert care when needed.

Children's Nebraska
Located 4 miles west of UNMC, Children’s Nebraska is a 143-bed private free-standing children’s hospital which houses the only emergency department in Nebraska dedicated to the care of children. Intensive pediatric-only education takes place here alongside board-certified pediatric emergency physicians and intensivists.

Fremont Health Medical Center
Fremont Health is located roughly 30 minutes northwest of Omaha and is one of the sites for our rural emergency medicine rotations. Our emergency medicine resident are generally the only house officers in the department and work hand-in-hand with board certified attendings to care for acutely ill patients from the surrounding community.

Great Plains Regional Medical Center
Located in North Platte in west central Nebraska, the medical center is available for the rural emergency medicine rotation during second and third year. Great Plains Regional Medical Center is a Level III trauma center and houses a 12-bed emergency department which is supported by a hospital medical staff who, combined, are board certified in over 28 different specialties. It is a fantastic location to train and experience emergency medicine in a fast-paced rural environment with board certified emergency physicians.
