Jared T. Marx, MD, AEMUS, FPD

Jared T. Marx, MD, is the ultrasound director for the Emergency Department and fellowship director for the advanced emergency ultrasound fellowship.

Dr. Marx's goal is to improve patient care by training clinicians to efficiently and competently implement emergency ultrasound into the care of their patients. Prior to joining UNMC in 2017, Dr. Marx started the ultrasound program and fellowship and University of Kansas Medical Center Emergency Department. In 2019, he started the first fellowship program for the department in emergency ultrasound and continues to lead as the director of the fellowship.

Dr. Marx has lectured and trained hundreds of students, nurses, advanced practice providers, residents and attending physicians both regionally, nationally and internationally. He has interest in free open access medical education and develops educational content posted to the YouTube channel @POCUSGeek.
