Toxicology of Air Pollution

Toxicology is the study of poisons, specifically the adverse outcomes of chemicals within living organisms. Ultimately, toxicology strives to answer the questions of how a chemical harms a living organism and how much of the chemical is needed to elicit a toxic effect.

Upon successful compilation of this learning module, you will be able to:

  • Explain mechanisms of toxicology.
  • Discuss the toxicity of air pollutants on human health.
