10 Essential Public Health Services (#4): Strengthen, support, and mobilize communities and partnerships

There are two significant entities that public health engages in this essential service – community members and community partners. Public health works closely with community members to develop public health solutions for the best results. Community members have first-hand perspectives on how issues manifest where they live, work, and play, what and how assets can be mobilized, and what interventions will be effective. Involving community members in the design of strategies helps build trust and better solutions.
