Mohs Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology (MSDO) Fellowship

University of Nebraska Medical Center Department of Dermatology has an American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) and ACGME approved Mohs Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology (MSDO) Fellowship.

Our goal is to train leaders in the field of dermatology, dermatologic surgery and Mohs Surgery. Our comprehensive skin cancer program is collaborative, patient centered and allows us to take care of patients with both common and rare skin cancers.

Our fellowship is a rigorous one-year program that is dedicated to training Mohs surgeons that are specifically interested in advancing the field of cutaneous oncology and Mohs and reconstructive surgery. Fellows will be trained in Mohs and excisional surgery, reconstructive surgery, complex cutaneous oncology, scar rehabilitation and venolymphatic medicine.

We perform Mohs surgery at two state of the art Mohs surgery units in Omaha, Nebraska. Our Mohs and dermatologic surgeons offer several specialty clinics to care for patients in the community and surrounding region. These clinics include a transplant clinic, a scar clinic, a high risk skin cancer clinic and a comprehensive vein clinic.

The fellow will have an opportunity to learn in an academic medical center that values multi-disciplinary care for complex and high-risk skin cancers and promotes meaningful scientific research to advance knowledge for patients with skin cancer. The program director is Adam Sutton, MD, MBA and the assistant program director is Vanessa Voss, MD.
