Graduate Medical Education Programs

With a goal to educate physicians in a high quality environment, we offer nearly 70 residency and fellowship programs and train more than 600 house officers. Our outstanding faculty train residents in a variety of clinical settings including metropolitan, rural and regional centers.

Our dozens of programs – including nearly 20 in internal medicine – allow residents and fellows a variety of specialties. Each program is designed to provide clinical experience, research and in-depth training.

Admissions

Applications for most UNMC programs will be submitted online through the Electronic Residency Application Service – see a list of participating specialties. UNMC programs that do not accept applications through ERAS will specify application protocols on their program webpage.
