Travel and Logistics Policy
Travel and Logistics Policy
The Continuing interProfessional Development and Innovation department at the UNMC College of Nursing is dedicated to providing enriching educational experiences through our live events. To ensure that participants have a smooth and successful experience, we have established the following travel policy for all live events:
Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements, including flights, ground transportation, and accommodations. We recommend booking your travel as early as possible to secure the best rates and availability. Information about recommended hotels, venue locations, and local transportation options will be provided on the event’s registration page.
Each live event will be held at a designated venue, which will be communicated in advance through the event’s registration details. Participants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the venue location, parking facilities, and local amenities before attending.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, our office does not offer reimbursement for travel expenses. Participants should budget for all travel-related costs, including airfare, hotel accommodations, meals, and transportation. Some events may have specific grants or scholarships available to assist with travel costs; details will be provided on the event's information page if applicable.
Our office is not responsible for any travel disruptions, including those caused by weather, transportation strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances. Participants are advised to purchase travel insurance to cover any potential travel-related issues. If you need to cancel your attendance due to travel problems, please refer to our refund policy for information on cancellations and refunds.
The health and safety of our participants are a top priority. Our office follows all relevant local, state, and federal guidelines for health and safety at our live events. Participants are encouraged to stay informed about any travel advisories or health protocols in place at the event location and to plan accordingly.
If you require any special accommodations for your travel or participation in the event, please notify us in advance. We are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible environment for all attendees and will make every effort to accommodate your needs.
We look forward to welcoming you to our live events. Should you have any questions or need assistance with your travel plans, please contact our team.
