Attendance and Participation Policy

The Continuing interProfessional Development and Innovation department of the UNMC College of Nursing is committed to providing high-quality educational experiences through our live events. To ensure that all participants receive the full benefit of these events, we have established the following attendance policy:

Registration

• All participants must register for live events in advance. Registration details, including deadlines and fees, will be provided on the event page.
• Participants are required to check in at the event registration desk upon arrival to confirm their attendance.

Attendance Requirements

• Full attendance is expected for all scheduled sessions during the event. To receive continuing education credits or certificates of completion, participants must attend the entire event, as partial attendance may not meet the criteria for certification.
• Participants are required to sign in and out for each session to document their participation accurately.

Punctuality

• Participants are encouraged to arrive on time for all sessions. Late arrivals may disrupt the event and may result in the participant missing important content.
• If a participant arrives late, they may be admitted at the discretion of the event coordinator but may not be eligible for full continuing education credits.

Participation

• Active participation in discussions, workshops, and other interactive components of the event is strongly encouraged to maximize the learning experience.
• Participants are expected to engage respectfully with presenters, faculty, and fellow attendees.

Cancellations and No-Shows

• If you are unable to attend the event after registering, please notify our office as soon as possible. This allows us to accommodate other participants and make necessary adjustments.
• No-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee, and repeat no-shows may be restricted from future events.

Virtual Attendance

• For events offering a virtual attendance option, participants must adhere to the same attendance and participation requirements as those attending in person. Virtual participants must log in to the event platform using the provided credentials and remain engaged throughout the event.

Special Accommodations

• If you require special accommodations due to a disability or other needs, please contact us at least two weeks before the event date. We will make every effort to accommodate your needs and ensure a positive experience.
