Partners in Bleeding Disorders Education

The Partners in Bleeding Disorders Education Program promotes excellence in care through education created by and for the federally recognized Hemophilia Treatment Center Network and providers from a variety of disciplines that serve patients with bleeding and other coagulation disorders.

The program's goal is to provide comprehensive, broad-based education to support the treatment of bleeding and clotting disorders. Offerings include the multidisciplinary Basic Partners, Advanced Partners, Presentation Skills Workshop, and PartnersPRN online learning activities. Programs target nurses, social workers, physical therapists and other members of the Hemophilia Treatment Center multidisciplinary team.

Founded in 1996 by the Indiana Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center, oversight of the partners programs expanded in 2010 to include a nationally representative, multidisciplinary advisory board comprising medical professionals as well as representatives from the National Hemophilia Foundation, Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan, the American Thrombosis and Hemostasis Network, and the Hemophilia Alliance. The Partners in Bleeding Disorders Education Program is supported by educational grants from Takeda Pharmaceuticals USA Inc.; Genentech, a member of the Roche Group; and the National Hemophilia Foundation.
