Maternal/Fetal Nutrition, Pregnancy Outcomes, Neonatal Nutrition, Neonatal Microbiome, Placental Nutrient Transfer.
Current Research Summary:
My area of research interest surrounds maternal/fetal nutrition and its impact on pregnancy outcomes. Nutrients of particular interest include vitamin A, vitamin E, omega-3 fatty acids, and iron. The impact of these nutrients on inflammation during and after pregnancy, as well as their influence on the neonatal microbiome are outcomes of interest.
