Current Research Summary:
Our research team's pediatric research interests are related to uveitis and retinal disease in United States and global health settings. Specifically, we have active projects related to understanding the spectrum of eye disease in Ebola, COVID-19 and other emerging infectious diseases, as well as their impact on quality-of-life and mental health. Our research group has also worked in Kisumu, Kenya to understand ocular manifestations associated with childhood illness in the Child Health and Mortality Surveillance (CHAMPS) Network. I also have an active collaboration with researchers from the University of Cincinnati to understand tear film biomarkers associated with uveitis in juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
