Current Research Summary:
While there is a lot of data about physician quality of life and burnout, little exists about their significant other's/loved ones. We completed a pilot study assessing impact of physician training (Otolaryngology trainees) on significant others/loved one's quality of life within the categories of relationship, family, career, finances and mental health. We sough to determine a assessment tool to expand to other levels of training, different locations, and across the United States which is currently underway.
