I am interested in studying how genetic and genomic factors influence childhood brain development with a special emphasis on the possibility that genetic/genomic factors may increase (or decrease) vulnerability to late-life neurological disease. These interests inform my ongoing NIA R01 research project (R01-AG064247) which is a longitudinal study of how genetic/genomic AD risk factors affect the childhood development of cognitive abilities, brain structure, and brain function.
