Lab Partners Fitness

What is Lab Partners Fitness (LPF)?

Lab Partners Fitness (LPF) is a new student fitness program offered through the Center for Healthy Living involving 2 Lab Members and a Lead Partner. This program is designed to promote:

  • Connectedness
  • Physical activity + academic success
  • Positive behaviors and habits
  • Adding movement into daily life
  • Improved mental health

Lab Members will be matched with a partner who shares similar fitness interests.

A Volunteer Lead Partner will be matched with the pair based on availability, interests and prior injuries and exercise challenges.

The partners set the schedule and time to meet one-on-one or in a small group (1 Lead partner + 2 Member Participants) 1-2 times per week.

We're looking for volunteer Lead Partners!

Lead partners are student volunteers who receive professional leadership training on working with a variety of individuals.

Lead partners are not counselors, fitness professionals (personal trainer or fitness coach), or someone who provides fitness or nutritional advice, unless a certified professional.

As a volunteer Lead Partner, you'll develop these skills:
